GREEN TRAVEL PROTOCOL

The primary purpose of the Green Travel Protocol is to empower organizations to make environmentally responsible travel decisions, not just on a per-trip basis, but as an integral part of their overall operational culture. With the EU’s ambitious target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030 and aiming for a 90% reduction in transport-related emissions by 2050, the protocol offers a practical tool to contribute to these goals.
The protocol also introduces a scoring system, enabling organizations to continuously assess and improve their travel practices. This system not only measures the environmental impact of travel but also provides personalized suggestions for improvement, fostering a culture of sustainability and responsibility.
